Vice President Yang and Chinese Co-Director He remarked on
the HNC’s 30 years of contributions to improving mutual understanding between
the US and China. American Co-Director, Neil Kubler, spoke to the change he has
witnessed in China in becoming a more open society. He also echoed Co-Director
He’s sediments for the need for China and the US to learn from one another.
Co-Director Kubler called on the HNC students to make the
most of their time at the HNC. He encouraged the new students to “be willing to
take risks and engage in what some have called ‘uncomfortable learning.’
Believe me, you learn more if you try something new, than if you keep doing
what you’ve done before. ”
